Ginkgo (scientific name: Ginkgo biloba L.) is a plant of the Ginkgo family and the genus Ginkgo. The arbor is up to 40 meters high and has a diameter at breast height of up to 4 meters. Ginkgo is born in natural forests at 500-1000 meters above sea level, acidic (pH 5-5.5) yellow soil, and well-drained areas. Ginkgo is a light-loving tree species with deep roots and wide adaptability to climate and soil. It can grow in areas with high temperature and rain, scarce rainfall, and cold winter, but its growth is slow or poor. Born in a warm and humid climate, with an annual rainfall of 700-1500 mm, areas with deep soil, fertile and humid, and well-drained areas grow best.
